Happy New Year, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are drying out nicely.
I can’t believe 2018 is here along with everything that comes with a new year. Resolutions! We may or may not stick to them, but at least we try. A year older but no wiser! Who wants to be wiser anyway? But most importantly to value old friendships and new beginnings. I always look forward to January because what ever has gone before I feel I can wipe the slate clean and look forward to a fresh start.
I am really excited about doing something different this year and so along side my Clara sewing kit business I will be creating some ready sewn items.
As many of you know I have been blessed with two beautiful 20 month old granddaughters, Amalie and Matilda and with them in mind I’m just itching to get sewing. So I am starting the year with teepees, tutus and loads of tantrums as I make them stand still in front of a camera. (Bribery I find is the best option) either that or a long piece of elastic.
Life is a strange old thing, Five years ago on new years eve I had an operation to remove breast cancer and this New Years Eve, five years to the day I had my “all clear” mammogram results, so what ever life throws at you, make time for yourself, then get off your ****, be positive and move forward.
And so, best wishes to you all and have a wonderful 2018. Alison x

and next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.”
